Studio outtakes Beatleg is a CD replica of an album that had been planned by EMI in 1984 for release in 1985 containing previously unreleased studio tracks and demos, and was stopped by Paul, George, Ringo and Yoko. Test pressings did get out, resulting in a vinyl pressing hitting the boot circuit, then the CD in 1988, which is considered as the first Beatles boot issued on CD.
Several of the tracks were re-mixed and edited by EMI engineer Geoff Emerick. Most of these tracks would end up on the 'Anthology' albums of the mid 90s.
